About Us

My name is Donny Carter, I am the owner and certified FAA drone pilot of DC Drone Recovery, LLC. I’m a proud father and loving husband finding my greatest joy in the company of my family. When I’m not immersed in those roles, you can often find me in the great outdoors, where I pursue my passion for hunting. Bow hunting for the last 25 years has taught me that even though you practice for that shot all summer, sometimes the execution in the moment accompanied by adrenaline and excitement can be overwhelming, and sometimes we don't put our best shot on a deer. Having lost a few that I knew I killed, really hurt. Over the last year the use of thermal drone imaging has really captivated me, so in the Fall of 2023 I made the leap and became a certified drone pilot. My extensive background in hunting and certifications in drone recovery, has allowed me to pursue my passion to help the hunter that can't sleep without finding his/her trophy.
